it's now settled across the central part of virginia, but there's no weather associated with this front. there's a nice area of high pressure coming in behind it, and it will produce a little bit of a breeze, but that's about it. as we head toward the middle of the week, we might see a little area of low pressure develop on wednesday, but for the next few days, it's going to be quiet. we did have the showers, as i mentioned before, but everything has dissipated now, and we expect a dry commute. we can see a little bit of cloud cover, especially in the southern suburb, but that's breaking up. we'll just call it a mix of sun and clouds. i'll show you the seven-day forecast in just a second. let me just give you the last update on igor. it passed over bermuda last night as a category one hurricane. it did produce some damage, but we're not seeing big reports of catastrophic conditions on the island. they got a big storm surge out of it, and now the storm is about 100 miles north of bermuda and pulling away into the open waters of the atlantic. so we can finally say goodbye to igor. mostly

behind that, in ohio and just into west virginia, western west virginia, just west of the mountains, there is a cool front. it reaches down into tennessee. the rain is much more vigorous down in tennessee, mississippi, and alabama than it is this far north. when the front comes through, you have to make changes. that's all right. if we get out of the 90's and only be in the 70's or 80's over the weekend, that will be a step in the right direction anyway. let's look at the current readings outside. it is warm this for this time of year. humidity still up in. 66%. 29.87 the pair metric fresh. that's low. it has been showing a falling tendency for the past couple hours. that front still is west of us and moving in. southwest wind at 3 miles per hour. litter winds become more westerly and will help drop humidity a bit and hold temperatures down. i mentioned rainfall. we had less than an inch of rain, and we have a deficit of 2 1/4 inches. there is significant rain in the forecasts, but not for the weekend. we're getting a bit of the best of both worlds here. camebridge 77. salisbury 73.

there's a break in the cloud line, southwestern virginia, that swings through here by lunchtime and the afternoon we should get sun. overall the big pattern highlights this one big storm dominating the eastern seaboard, once that passes through there's another wave of low pressure that is going to catch the tail end of this boundary and ride back up the east coast. that is going to hit us pretty hard with more heavy rain and possible flooding as we head through thursday. we have a flood watch that extends on in through 8:00 this morning. and band of rain will be swinging its way through. during the morning hours and by this afternoon should be passing across the eastern shore and lifting to our north. we should get some dry air here and sunshine but still an isolated storm that could pop up as we head into the afternoon. look at the tail end of the boundary, stalls just south of ocean city, starts to make a return tomorrow morning. we will start off with sunshine but the clouds make a return and we will have some rain trying to move in by tomorrow night. then watch our forecast model in
